Upon graduating in International Business and Finance from one of Germany’s leading business schools, Florian emigrated to the US and began his career in the field of Investment Banking to strategically advise companies expanding their business by raising capital or position them for M&A. In late 2001, at the age of 25, he approached one of Germany’s largest wind developers, WKN Windkraft Nord AG, with a business plan to establish its US presence and subsequently built Windkraft Nord USA, Inc. from the ground up in San Diego, CA.

He developed the first project within three years, (Snyder Wind Farm) negotiated all relevant construction and financing contracts and within four weeks raised more than $100 Million from Enel North America, the present owner and operator. Under his leadership, Project Snyder was built on time as well as on budget and is recognized to be the most technologically advanced wind farm built in the US to date, utilizing the Vestas V90 3MW turbine on a 105m hub height.

Experienced in all levels of growing a business, he continually develops, creates and executes the Strategic Business Plan. He is responsible for all aspects of establishing, growing and operating the company and negotiates all contracts related to the business. He has advised large international firms such as GE, Siemens or Tenaska in their domestic and international expansion efforts. Florian has added members to his staff and built a high quality portfolio of projects currently under development that have a potential transaction volume exceeding 1 Billion USD. He has achieved high recognition in the market and has raised over 400 Million USD in equity to date.
